Thousands of Real Madrid fans flocked to the streets to witness the home team marching to celebrate the 36th La Liga title in the club’s history.

“The AS, the bus carrying the entire Real Madrid team, paraded through the city streets and stopped at the Cibeles Square, the traditional celebration spot of the Spanish royal club. Here, the crowd of fans eagerly awaited coach Carlo Ancelotti and his players since early morning.”

Real became Spanish champion for the 36th time in history, a tournament record. According to Opta, “Los Blancos” also equaled Juventus’ record of winning the most national championships in the top 5 top European tournaments (36 times).

Notably, Coach Ancelotti recreated the famous moment by wearing sunglasses and smoking a cigar while celebrating with his players. This image went viral in 2022 after Ancelotti guided Real to victory in La Liga and the Champions League.

Jude Bellingham made waves during the celebratory event. According to The Sun, the English midfielder delivered a fluent speech in Spanish in front of the crowd, despite only joining La Liga to play football since the summer of 2023. He said: “Thank you for your warmth. We have one more big game at Wembley (Champions League final – PV). Let’s go forward.”

Bellingham is hailed as the signing of the season. He scored 20 goals and provided 10 assists across all competitions. The former Dortmund star, along with “Los Blancos,” won La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup. He is now aiming for his first prestigious Champions League title in his career.

This season, Thibaut Courtois took a long-term break due to a tendon injury. He only recently returned to action. During Courtois’ absence, Lunin performed admirably as his replacement, helping Real to only suffer 2 losses since the beginning of the season (both against Atletico Madrid – PV).

This summer, veteran defender Nacho will bid farewell to the Bernabeu. Meanwhile, Luka Modric is likely to extend his contract with Real for another year. Modric has accepted a substitute role but consistently shines whenever he steps onto the field, which has led Real to consider offering the Croatian midfielder a new contract.
